DALAMAN
Dalaman is one of the few coastal areas that are still relatively undeveloped. The coast is currently a mixture of marsh and farmland, but there are plans to build a new marina and also an 18-hole golf course. When these take off the whole area is likely to develop rapidly.
The town itself is several miles inland, a fairly unimposing small Turkish town set against a backdrop of majestic mountain ranges snow-tipped in the winter and thick lush green forests. Around the town, there is already a lot of building activity, ranging from apartments to luxury villas. This is an area that is teetering on the brink of big development that makes it a prime investment place for those who are prepared to wait just a few years. The new airport is a sure fire pointer to this 'feel good factor'; previously a small drab place often chaotic in summer months, it is soon to be expanded and modernised and is already starting all year round flights making it an easy destination for holiday makers and owners alike. The building developments set on the flat plains around the town still offer some of the cheapest properties around, only 15 minutes from the local beaches and airports alike.

Calis
This resort benefits from a long stretch of sandy beach running in an almost straight line along the side of the town. Palm fringed with jaunty parasols it has a natural backdrop of stunning mountain ranges that look almost out of place in this developed tourist area.
Ovacik
For Ovacik read Olu Deniz, it's the nearest place to this protected beach area. Ovacik Resort nestles below the Babadag Mountain, with its consequent fine mountain and forest views. The whole area is kept cool by soft sea breezes in the summer. Property here will be at the top end of the market owing to its proximity to the scenic Olu Deniz. Olu Deniz can get very busy in high season.
Uzumlu
Further inland and closer to the mountains Uzumlu is altogether quieter. Around a half hour to the coast, there is a peace and quiet here that does not come at too high a price. This is distinctly more rural and in consequence you will need a car unless you purchase within the village limits.
